Amada School, the vocational training institution operated by leading sheet metal processing machine maker Amada, recognized outstanding entries at the 34th Precision Sheet Metal Technology Fair. The event highlighted sheet metal works that demonstrated advanced skills and techniques.
Out of 193 total submissions, 50 works were awarded at the level of “technical award” or higher. The winners were selected through a multi-stage voting process involving members of the Japan Society for Technology of Plasticity (JSTP), representatives from the Japan Sheet Metal Industries Association, a panel of judges, and public voting conducted at the Verification Plaza within the Amada Solution Center.
The fair showcased the high level of craftsmanship in precision sheet metal work and underscored Amada School’s role in promoting skill development in the industry.
The Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Award went to Shinba Iron Works for its Titanium exhaust system.
The Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award went to TANABE METAL TEC for its Savonius type windmill.
