Amada School selects sheet metal workpiece with excellent skills and techniques

AMADA SCHOOL OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING CORPORATION, specializing in metalworking machine operated by Amada, a leading sheet metal processing machine maker, announced on March 6th 2021 that it selected sheet-metal works made with advanced skills and techniques to award at the 33nd Precision Sheet Metal Technology Fair.

The award selection was based on a voting process that involved members from the Japan Society for Technology of Plasticity (JSTP), officials from the Japan Sheet Metal Industries Association, members of a judging committee, and a poll taken from the visitors at the Verification Plaza in the AMADA Solution Center (Kanagawa, Japan). As a result, 78 out of the total 288 entries received recognition for excellence at the level of “technical award” or above.

The “Closing bend of R section” manufactured by Gendai Kogyo in Osaka Prefecture received the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Award. The workpiece was praised for its high quality and accuracy, using highly skilled skills and techniques.

Besides, the “Strain ball” produced by SATO Sheet Metal Manufacturing in Shiga Prefecture received the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award. The reason for choosing is that advanced processing technology and the development of means are expected to contribute widely to the sheet metal industry.
