DMG MORI opens new training center in Hamamatsu, Japan

DMG MORI opened the “DMG MORI ACADEMY Hamamatsu” on April 26, 2023 and held an opening ceremony (=photo). The academy offers customers and local students a wide range of training courses from basic to advanced, including machining training on 5-axis machines.

The facility is equipped with the “DMU 50 3rd Generation” 5-axis machine and the “NTX 1000 2nd Generation” mill-turn center, among others. It is also equipped with the DX platform “TULIP”, which enables individualized training according to the skills of the customer. Masaru Tamba, Managing Executive Officer, said at the opening ceremony, “We hope that our customers will make 100% effective use of our machine tools through the Academy’s lessons.

The company has already offered 3 academies in Tokyo (Koto-ku), Iga (Mie Prefecture), and Nagoya (Aichi Prefecture), as well as weekend schools throughout Japan for member companies of the 5-Axis Machining Association. To provide training opportunities for more customers and students in the region, the company plans to establish five more academies in Kanazawa (May 2023), Sendai (August 2023), Okayama (2024), and Fukuoka (2024), including the newly opened academy in Hamamatsu City, Japan.
