New products show off on the theme of evolution

Amada Holdings (HD) held the Amada Innovation Fair (AIF) 2018 at the Solution Center located at the head office of Isehara City, Kanagawa Prefecture.Amada introduced the Internet of Things (IoT) service “V-Factory,” which began to be offered in May 2018, and a new type of laser processing machine with enhanced output.

Further evolution of ENSIS technology

Amada’s new ENSIS series does not only increase the power output from the conventional 3 kW to 6 kW and 9 kW.

Amada has further evolved its proprietary beam control technology “ENSIS Technology.”

In addition to the conventional technique for controlling the beam configuration, the autocollimation mechanism which realizes the focusing diameter suitable for the high speed stable machining of the thick plate was newly installed.  In addition to high speed stable machining, it realizes improvement of roughness.

Amada also proposed a new technology that drastically reduces the consumption of assist gas. It will respond to expectations for fiber laser processing machines, which are expanding as a global trend.  In addition, the company is ambitious to enter the new market.  Amada HD put Amada Sanwa Daiya as a group company last year. Amada Sanwa Daiya’s new product, DBSAW-500, can cut hard and brittle materials such as ceramics for electronic components and semiconductors related to high quality.  President Isobe expressed his motivation, “we will enter the nonmetal machining market and expand the cutting business.”
