ROBOT TECHNOLOGY JAPAN (RTJ) 2024, a trade show specializing in industrial robots and automation systems, is set to be held this July. In March, it has been officially revealed that the scale of RTJ 2024 will surpass that of the previous show, with a total of 230 exhibitors and 1,303 booths. RTJ 2024 is sure to be a venue that will satisfy and further strengthen your interest in automation.
Preparations for RTJ 2024 began last September, and exhibitor registrations had been pouring in. By January of this year, it became apparent that the number of exhibitors would exceed that of RTJ 2022. On March 19, an exhibitor briefing was held to outline logistical plans for move-in, move-out, and overall operations. The organizers also announced the exhibitor lineup and exhibit space details for RTJ 2024, which showed a significant increase from the previous show, with 230 companies/organizations showcasing their offerings in 1,303 booths.
RTJ showcases a wide range of automation equipment and peripherals, such as industrial robots, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and various end-effectors and sensors, but the show is characterized by its limitation to products useful in production and logistics facilities. Aichi Prefecture is the hub of the Chubu region, where manufacturing industries in various fields are concentrated, and the compatibility of the exhibition with the content of the show attracted many visitors to RTJ 2022. Despite the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, RTJ 2022 had 202 companies/organizations and 1,096 booths, and attracted 41,880 visitors over its three-day duration, highliting its importance in the industry.
In addition to equipment manufacturers, system integrators play a key role in the construction of robotics and automation systems. RTJ 2024 will feature exhibits from these integrators specializing in various domains. Many machine tool builders, who provide labor-saving and unmanned systems by integrating robots and other components, will also be exhibiting, showing a variety of applications based on the region’s thriving metalworking industry. Visitors can expect to find solutions to various needs, such as finding automation equipment, outsourcing system construction, and looking for automation tips.
