Expressing his enthusiasm for the next 100 years, President Takada reflected on the company’s journey and said; “We have come this far with our on-site-first policy, focusing on products for the automotive industry. Looking ahead, we intend to expand our customer base globally by actively recruiting local talent overseas. In addition, we plan to develop the battery and electronics fields and make them a pillar of our business. To achieve this goal, we must continue to improve each and every one of our employees in order to become an indispensable trading company”.
Founded in 1924 in Nagoya as IDAKA SHOKAI, a trading company specializing in machinery and cutting tools, the company supported Japan’s pre-war and post-war growth and changed its name to its current name in 1970. Throughout the 1970s, the company strengthened sales to the automotive industry and built a solid business foundation by expanding business with major companies such as Toyota Motor and Denso. It has also aggressively expanded overseas and currently has 17 bases in 9 countries. In recent years, the company has expanded its portfolio to include semiconductor and robotics businesses, further cementing its position as an industry leader.
