On June 1, 2018, Toyo Denki Seizo which manufactures electric machinery for railway vehicles and industrial use, started operation of a factory constructed in Ryuo town, Shiga Prefecture.
The total floor area is 20,000 square meters, and the investment amount is about 7 billion yen.
Industrial motors and inverters are mainly manufactured.
A new plant was opened to restructure the production system including the plant in Yokohama City and Moriyama City.
The production and research bases for industrial products will be consolidated into a new factory, and in the Yokohama plant specialized in transportation business will increase its production capacity.
