Ebara announced on October 4, 2018 that Ebara Field Tech, a wholly owned subsidiary, would establish a Chubu plant in Mie Prefecture.
The amount of investment is about 1 billion yen.
Chubu factory started to build in November 2018. It will be scheduled to start operation in June 2019.
Ebara Field Tech will be responsible for customer support such as sales and installation of Ebara’s semiconductor-related devices.
Overhaul and repair of the dry vacuum pump will be done at the new plant.
This is the fourth overhaul plant in Japan and it aims to strengthen the service and support system of Chubu district mainly.
