NACHI-FUJIKOSHI announced on January 16, 2020 that it has established new robot factory at its Toyama Plant. The investment amount is about 2 billion yen and the site area is about 5,500 square meters.
The working population is on the decline due to the declining birthrate and aging population, and the demand for robots has been increasing in a wide variety of industrial fields. Particularly in the electric, electronic and EMS market and general industrial machine market, there is a high need for automation and small robots. The company will meet demand for small robots, which are expected to grow over the medium to long term, by establishing a new factory and expanding unmanned lines. The new plant is already in operation in January 2020 and an unmanned lines will be introduced in May 2020.
