JMC starts operation of casting plant in Hamamatsu

JMC announced on February 4, 2020 that it has started operation of its new factory named “milling center” in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture. The center was built to increase the capacity of the machining process in JMC’s casting business. The new factory is equipped with a 5-axis machining center that can handle large parts, and adopts measuring equipment. The company established a system for stable supply and strengthen its ability to respond to short delivery times in the prototyping development market where automotive parts are getting large and complex. The company also plans to enter the aircraft parts market in 2020, producing aircraft parts that require high quality.

The center has a fresh design that renews the image of the conventional factory, and has a lounge and conference space to stimulate communication among employees.
