JMC starts operation of new casting plant in Hamamatsu

February 6, 2020

Expanding machining capacity for large and complex cast parts

On February 4, 2020, JMC announced the launch of operations at its new factory, the “milling center,” located in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture. The new facility was established to enhance the machining capacity in JMC’s casting business, particularly for prototyping development.

The plant is equipped with a 5-axis machining center capable of handling large parts, along with precision measuring equipment. With this setup, JMC has built a stable production system and improved responsiveness to short delivery times, especially as demand for larger and more complex automotive parts grows.

Targeting the aircraft parts market and improving workplace environment

In addition to automotive components, JMC plans to enter the aircraft parts market in 2020, producing high-quality components that meet strict standards.

The new factory also features a modern design aimed at redefining the conventional factory image. It includes a lounge and conference area to foster better communication among employees.
