NHK SPRING announced on February 28, 2020 that it will establish a new automotive seating plant in the United States. The investment will be approximately $ 37 million and the site area will be approximately 185,000 square meters. The company will build a new plant to meet the increase in production capacity of the main customer SUBARU. The new plant will be established in Indiana, US, and the NHK SPRING already has plants that manufactures parts such as sheet metal frames and urethane pads. The new plant will consolidate automotive sheet production lines. The new plant will start operation in 2021.
