Kubota builds a new plant for small construction machinery in Kansas, US

Kubota, a construction machinery maker, announced on August 17, 2020, that its affiliated corporation in the United States would establish a new plant for compact construction loaders (CTLs), small construction machinery, in Salina, Kansas.

Kubota used to manufacture CTLs in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, but will transfer a part of the production to the new plant in the United States. The new plant has a building area of 74,000 square meters and will start mass production in September 2022. In 2023, 3000 CTLs will be produced annually. The investment amount is 53 million dollars. The company aims to further expand the small construction machinery business by building a system that can quickly respond to customer requests.
