THK’s IoT service links FANUC’s platform

April 1, 2021

THK, a leading machine element parts maker, will start linking its IoT service “OMNI edge” with FANUC’s open platform “FIELD System” from April 1, 2021.

OMNIedge is an IoT service that realizes condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of machine element parts such as LM guides and ball screws. THK started  to offer the service in January 2020. The machine element component maker has decided to work with FANUC’s FIELD System to further enhance the functionality of the service. This cooperation allows FIELD System users to monitor up to 90 machine element components simultaneously.

THK will also expand the OMNI edge service lineup. Services for actuators also started in March 2021.
