On April 16, 2021, NSK, a leading Japanese manufacturer of machine components, launched “ACOUS NAVI,” a condition monitoring and diagnostic application designed to support predictive maintenance of machine components. The target components include bearings, ball screws, and linear guides.
ACOUS NAVI enables users to monitor the operational status of machine components and detect early signs of wear or failure. By providing real-time diagnostic information, the system helps manufacturers improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
The applications for bearings and ball screws are compatible with FANUC’s “FIELD system,” an open software platform for the manufacturing industry. This compatibility supports seamless integration with existing smart factory environments.
NSK aims to achieve sales of 500 million yen from ACOUS NAVI and related services by 2026, positioning the new solution as a key part of its digital service offerings.
