Sodick releases LPM325S metal 3D printer with multi-powder support

October 28, 2021

Enables automated powder switching and long-term stable operation

In October 2021, Sodick released the LPM325S, a metal 3D printer designed for high-speed and stable long-term modeling.

The LPM325S integrates 3D printing of metal powder with the machining of reference surfaces in a single machine, improving overall workflow efficiency.

One of the key features of the new machine is its original powder supply and collection unit, which enables the use of multiple types of metal powders. Operators can switch between powder types simply by replacing the dedicated unit, a process that takes approximately two hours.

Improved fume management and reduced maintenance

The LPM325S also includes a high-capacity fume collection system, which effectively captures particles generated during laser processing. Thanks to this enhancement, the maintenance frequency has been reduced by 50% compared to previous models, supporting extended operation with minimal downtime.
