[Post Show Report:MECT2021 #1] Almost 70,000 visitors take part in MECT2021

MECHATRONICS TECHNOLOGY JAPAN (MECT) 2021 was held at Port Messe Nagoya at Minato Ward, Nagoya City for four days from October 20 to 23, 2021.

MECT is one of the largest machine tool trade shows in Japan, held every two years in odd-numbered years. 426 companies and organizations exhibited with 1796 booths at MECT2021. Although it was held in the COVID-19 infection, 68,929 people visited there over the four days. The organizer is News Digest Publishing, which publishes SEISANZAI Japan, and the co-organizer is Aichi industrial Distributor’s Association.

The theme of this exhibition was “Let’s Find Something”. Exhibitors had many business meetings with visitors, who was looking for new machines and opportunities. One of exhibitors said, ” There were so many visitors than we expected,” and “We got more customer inquiries than we had at MECT2019.

Aichi Prefecture, where MECT was held, is the region the automotive and aircraft industries are concentrated. At the venue, there were many people, who work in the manufacturing industry in their work clothes.

SEISANZAI Japan editorial team will be introducing solutions for automation and EV components, which exhibitors showed off at the venue over the next two days, tomorrow and the day after.
