Makino releases vertical MC that automatically creates machining programs

On October 20, 2021, Makino Milling Machine released the “v61” vertical machining center, which automatically creates machining programs to reduce the burden of the operator.

The new model is equipped with the “Machining Processor”, which automatically creates machining programs. Machining program creation, which used to be a heavy workload for operators, has been streamlined. In addition, the Y-axis telescopic cover of the new model is made from a single sheet to repel chips and preventing the machine from stopping or breaking down. Besides, the shutter of the automatic tool changer (ATC) is driven by a servomotor to reduce the time required to open and close the shutter.

The machine size is 2637mm (W) x 4140mm (D) x 2760mm (H), and the maximum workpiece size that can be processed is 1505mm (W) x 595mm (D) x 50mm (H).
