Products from job shops in a Shibuya café

February 18, 2022

A “good factory shop” event featuring “BtoC products” developed by small and medium-sized manufacturers for consumers was held on January 21 and 22, 2022 at a snazzy café in Shibuya, Tokyo, well known as a place of fashion. The event was organized by Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun with the hope of conveying the appeal of the manufacturing industry to young people.

Five of job shops participated in the event, including Ifuku Seimitsu, which exhibited its “Syuki” sake cups made by additive manufacturing (AM). Mr. Motohiko Ifuku, president of Ifuku Seimitsu, said, “We are happy to be able to sell our “Syuki” face-to-face in a city of young people.” Core Machinery, good at an aluminum processing, also exhibited its “SOLID HONEYCOMB TABLE”, a piece of furniture made from machined aluminum.

This event will also be held at the “International Robot Exhibition 2022”, which will be started from March 9, 2022.
