MonotaRO focuses on collaboration with large enterprises

MonotaRO, a leading Japanese B2B e-commerce company of indirect materials for factories (Maintenance, Repair and Operations, MRO), held a press seminar at its Tokyo office in Minato-ku, Tokyo on April 6. The seminar was held to promote the company’s purchasing management system business (large enterprise collaboration business), which it is developing mainly for large enterprises. In MRO, a large number and variety of goods such as gloves, cutting tools, nuts, etc. are required for production, and the purchasing workload is enormous. In the large enterprise collaboration business, the number of operational man-hours required for MRO purchasing can be reduced by linking the customer’s purchasing management system with its self-developed purchasing platform. It also reduces costs and makes the purchasing process more transparent.

MonotaRO has recorded the highest revenue and the highest number of registered users for 13 consecutive years. In the large enterprise collaboration business, 2,500 companies have adopted the service, and revenue reached 50 billion yen last year and continues to grow rapidly. It is on track to reach nearly 70 billion yen this year.
