The Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (JMTBA, Chairman: Dr. Yoshiharu Inaba, Chairman of Fanuc) and Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo, President: Seiji Ishihara) announced on August 2 the outline of the 32nd Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF 2024) to be organized by both organizations.
Under the theme “Technologies passed down to the future offers unlimited possibilities,” the exhibition is set to be held at Tokyo Big Sight for six days from November 5 to 10, 2024. As in the previous exhibition, it is planned to use the entire building, including the South Exhibition Hall, with a total of 5,700 booths, the largest ever. The number of visitors is expected to reach 130,000.
Kazuo Yuhara, president of the JMTBA, said, “We plan to open a new area for students in the South Exhibition Hall. On Saturday and Sunday, events for interaction between exhibitors and students are being organized, and we want to create opportunities to pass on skills to the future leaders of the industry” (= photo). The application period for exhibitors is 2-31 October 2023 for members of JMTBA and sponsoring and overseas organizations. General exhibitors, both domestic and international, can apply from November 1-30. Applications can be made through the official JIMTOF website.
