On June 4, Matsuura Machinery (Fukui, Japan, President: Katsutoshi Matsuura), Sandvik Coromant Japan (Nagoya, Japan, President: Masahiro Yamamoto) and CGTech JAPAN (Tokyo, Japan, Country Manager: Satoshi Yamada) held a joint webinar (=photo).

Detailed demonstration of efficient machining techniques

During the webinar, the three companies provided a detailed demonstration of efficient machining techniques using various advanced tools and software. The presentation highlighted Matsuura Machinery’s “CUBLEX-35” 5-axis multitasking machining center, Matsuura’s “GibbsCAM” CAD/CAM software, Sandvik Coromant’s various cutting tools, and CGTech’s “VERICUT” NC simulation software. The demonstration highlighted the efficient machining of stainless steel (SUS304).

Optimizing processes with advanced tools

CUBLEX-35 provides process integration, while GibbsCAM’s “VoluMill” and “VoluTurn” provide high-speed roughing path generation, and VERICUT’s “Force” feature controls feed rates based on cutting loads, each resulting in a significant reduction in machining time.

By leveraging these advanced tools and software, the joint webinar demonstrated how the combination of cutting-edge machining technology and efficient software solutions can streamline operations and enhance machining productivity.
