NIDEC machine tool division showcases synergies at JIMTOF 2024

On October 17, the machine tool division of NIDEC held a product briefing for the 32nd Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF 2024) at the headquarters of TAKISAWA (Okayama City, Japan; President, Kazuhiro Harada) (= photo). In addition to President Harada, the briefing was attended by Haruhiko Niitani, who serves as President and CEO of both NIDEC OKK (Itami City, Hyogo, Japan) and NIDEC MACHINE TOOL (Ritto City, Shiga, Japan). The event promoted the highlights of their large-scale showcase at the upcoming JIMTOF 2024, where four machine tool manufacturers of the Nidec Group, including the Italian manufacturer PAMA, will exhibit their products.

At JIMTOF 2024, NIDEC will present its “NIDEC Gear Machining Solutions”, with 12 machine tools on display. One of the key new products is TAKISAWA’s “TS-4000Ⅱ YS”, a two-spindle NC lathe. Equipped with a turret-mounted hobbing unit, the machine integrates multiple processes, including turning, hobbing, and chamfering, into a single unit. President Niitani emphasized, “The group’s expertise in hobbing and high-rigidity machine design is fully utilized in this product. We invite everyone to experience it firsthand at the JIMTOF venue.”
