From June 10 to 12, Matsuura Machinery hosted a private show at its Takefu plant in Echizen, Fukui Prefecture. This was the first time the event was held at the Takefu facility instead of the company’s headquarters, and attendance was limited to invited guests.
“We intentionally made this an invitation-only event to strengthen the likelihood of capital investment from customers already considering our machines,” said Executive Director Yuto Matsuura.
The event showcased four models, including machines exhibited at JIMTOF2024. The new assembly line at the Takefu plant, which began operations in January, was also showcased.
The highlight of the event was an automation system combining the MX-520 5-axis vertical machining center with the prototype PC7 seven-face pallet changer.
The PC7 features a two-level structure, increasing the number of pallets while keeping the installation footprint nearly identical to that of the existing four-face PC4.
“We developed the PC7 as an optional upgrade for the MX-520 to meet demand for longer periods of unmanned operation,” Matsuura explained.
