On October 4, 2018, Mitsubishi Motors announced it would expand the plant facilities of affiliated corporation in West Java, Indonesia.
The investment amount is about 4 billion yen.
Mitsubishi Motors will intend to increase its annual production from 160,000 units to 200,000 units by 2020.
Minivan’s multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) XPANDER with strong sales mainly in the country and Southeast Asia will be increased its production.
It began to sell XPANDER in Indonesia in August 2017, and by the end of September 2018, the total number of orders exceeded 100,000 units.
