On November 16th, 2017, Mitsubishi Electric announced that industrial robots will be produced at plants in Changshu, Jiangsu, China. At the plant, FA equipments such as servomotor will be manufactured. Currently, Mitsubishi Electric plans to construct a new robot manufacturing line in the second factory. It aims to start operation in June 2018. Mitsubishi will make robot in two places, Changshu and Nagoya in Japan, and increase the production capacity 1.5 times compared with the fiscal 2016 level. This aims to respond quickly to the growing automation needs in China and all over the world.
