Mitsubishi Electric showcased the latest technologies in Nagoya

The Chubu Branch of Mitsubishi Electric held “MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC Exhibition 2018 in Chubu” at Nagoya Works on February 7 and 8, 2018. 2,500 people came mainly from major business partners.

The latest technologies of artificial intelligence and robots, the latest manufacturing facilities  Internet of Things, and automated driving technologies were exhibited.

It aims to receive orders of 200 million yen at the opportunity of an exhibition.

Fifteen companies, including equipment affiliates, participated in the exhibition for the first time in six years, in addition to the products manufactured within the branch office.

Building management using AI-based security technology, elevator systems, and robots with tactile sensors were exhibited.

The latest communication tools, Voice-activated drawing function that displays spoken words where finger is traced on screen was exhibited.

It expects that  orders received by Chubu branch office in fisccal 2017 to exceed the previous year’s record of 255 billion yen.

Iguchi Akio, the Executive Officer and Branch Manager, said, “In 2020, we will mark the 100th anniversary of our founding. We want you to feel our strengths as a comprehensive electrical equipment manufacturer.”
