Mitsubishi Electric showcased the latest technologies in Nagoya

The Chubu branch of Mitsubishi Electric held “MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC Exhibition 2018 in Chubu” at Nagoya Works on February 7th and 8th, 2018. 2,500 people from business partners attended. Mitsubishi Electric exhibited the latest technologies of artificial intelligence and robots, the latest manufacturing facilities with Internet of Things, and automated driving technologies. The company aims to receive orders of 200 million yen through its exhibition.

Fifteen companies, including equipment-related companies, participated in the exhibition for the first time in six years, in addition to the showing its products produced in its branch office. Exhibits included building management with AI-based security technology, elevator systems, and robots equipped with tactile sensors.

The latest communication tools, voice-activated drawing function that displays spoken words where the user traces their fingers, was on display. The Chubu branch expects to receive 255 billion yen in orders in fiscal year 2017, up from the previous year.

Mr. Iguchi Akio, executive officer and branch manager, said, “In 2020, we will mark the 100th anniversary of company’s founding. We would like you to catch our strengths as a comprehensive electrical equipment manufacturer.”
