Asahi Kasei announced on March 6, 2020 that its U.S. subsidiary Sage Automotive Interiors has concluded an agreement with Adient, a US automotive supplier to acquire the automotive interior fabric business, for US $ 175 million. Sage Automotive Interiors manufactures various fabric materials for automotive interior, mainly in the US. Sage Automotive Interiors aims to expand its business in Europe by acquiring Adient’s automotive interior fabric business, which has multiple locations around the world, mainly in Europe.
