JTEKT subsidiary starts mass production at a new factory of ultra-high precision bearing

JTEKT’s subsidiary DAIBEA started operation of a new factory of ultra-precise bearing “PRECILENCE” constructed in Izumi City, Osaka city in April 2020. The total floor area of the new factory is 3,009 square meters. The new factory will manufacture bearing “PRECILENCE” for precision machining equipment and space related equipment, which JTEKT and DAIBEA jointly developed.

“PRECILENCE” is a one-fourth rotation accuracy compared to the conventional product by completely reviewing the accuracy of each bearing component. In addition, vibration has been reduced to about half that of conventional one. Durable high nitrogen stainless steel was adopted for the bearing ring, and the maximum rotation speed was improved by about 30% compared to the conventional ratio. DAIBEA aims to sell about 2 billion yen by 2025.

DAIBEA group will strengthen the management structure by establishing a factory of bearing turning of group company Midtec on the premises and integrating its suppliers.
