Kitamura Machinery, a machining center builder, launched “Mycenter-SUPER MICRON”, a high-precision vertical machining center, on April 12, 2021.
The feature of the machine is the double column structure in which the cross rail and the bed are casted integrally. The machine has both excellent rigidity and vibration damping performance, and can perform stable and high-precision machining.
The column is equipped with a proprietary temperature control technology that can suppress the effects of temperature changes during machining. Positioning accuracy is ± 0.5 μm as measured. The squareness is 4 μm. Roundness is 1.5 μm. The maximum spindle speed is 40,000 rotations per minute.
Compared to the conventional model of Kitamura Machinery, this machine has enabled high-precision machining of 50% or more. Target markets include precision molds, medical, optics, and electronic components industries.
