New “Boost Master” integrates machining and cleaning to reduce chip control workload

NT TOOL, a Japanese manufacturer of tool holders, announced on July 26, 2021 that it has jointly developed a high-pressure cleaning tool called “Boost Master” for machining centers (MCs) in collaboration with ADVICS, a major automotive parts supplier.

Integrating machining and cleaning functions

Boost Master can be mounted on the automatic tool changer (ATC) of a machining center, allowing both machining and cleaning processes to be performed in a single setup. Traditionally, operators had to manually remove chips from the workpiece using high-pressure washers or air guns after machining. By integrating the cleaning function into the machining process, Boost Master significantly reduces operator workload and simplifies chip control.

In addition, the tool eliminates the need for high-pressure washers, contributing to energy savings.

Commercial target: 1000 units in the first year

NT TOOL is responsible for the manufacturing, sales, and maintenance of Boost Master. The company aims to sell 1,000 units within the first year of launch.
