NTN develops bearing diagnostic app for Edgecross IoT platform

On July 29, 2021, NTN, a Japanese bearing manufacturer, announced the development of a bearing diagnostic application compatible with the industrial IoT platform “Edgecross”. A free trial version of the application became available starting in July.

Real-time monitoring using vibration sensor data

The new software collects data from a vibration sensor installed near the bearing and provides a simple diagnosis of bearing abnormalities. By detecting signs of failure early, it enables more efficient maintenance.

Enables planned maintenance with Edgecross integration

When used together with Edgecross, the application supports real-time data collection directly from the production site. This allows users to maintain equipment and replace parts in a planned manner, contributing to improved operational efficiency.
