Sodick launches “SatelinC,” an integrated remote service platform for machine tools

Sodick has launched “SatelinC,” an integrated remote service platform for machine tools.

The platform is built around a dedicated server installed in the machine tool and integrates machine status monitoring, machining data viewing, alarm management, maintenance management, and remote support. All functions are accessible in real time via a web browser on a PC, tablet, or smartphone, helping improve the efficiency of equipment management and maintenance operations.

The platform uses a configuration that separates the machine control network from the information network, preventing direct external access to the machine tool’s control system. This architecture enables the use of equipment data and remote support while maintaining secure machine tool operation.

“SatelinC” is currently compatible with the wire EDM machines “AL series ‘i Groove + Edition'” and the die-sinking EDM machines “AL series,” with compatibility scheduled to be expanded to additional models in the future.
