Yaskawa Electric held an earnings briefing at its headquarters in Yahatanishi Ward, Kitakyushu, on October 9, where Chairman and President Hiroshi Ogasawara announced the company’s plan to bring a humanoid robot to market by 2030.
“Depending on how quickly humanoid robots become widely adopted, we may need to accelerate our plans. We would like to have a tangible product within one to two years and move toward commercialization while gauging the market’s response,” Ogasawara said. The company is also developing actuators for humanoid robots and plans to conduct real-world testing during the second half of fiscal 2026 (September 2026 to February 2027) to gather data for commercialization.
