Auto parts maker to install 40 cobots in 3 years for washing

Auto parts manufacturer AIDO INDUSTRY utilizes collaborative robots to attach／ detach workpieces to its washing equipment. The company introduced 40 collaborative robots over the past three years since it introduced the Danish UNIVERSAL ROBOTS（UR）collaborative robot in 2017. The company uses UR’s collaborative robots for a variety of processes, including washing and blowing processes. Over the past three years, productivity has doubled.

Collaborative robots are easy to teach, and it is easy to build a robot system on its own without having to rely on a robot system integrator. The president of the company, Yusuke Watanabe, appreciated this point and decided to introduce the collaborative robots.

The company plans to introduce 10 more robots this year.
