OSG to start machining experiments using plant-derived waste cooking oil

October 7, 2021

OSG, a cutting tool manufacturer, announced on September 29, 2021 that it has started demonstration tests of various machining processes using vegetable-derived waste cooking oil on the tap production line at its Yana Factory in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture, starting in the spring of 2021. OSG will first use waste cooking oil in the rolling process, and then expand the scope of experiments to the cutting process.

OSG will recycle the waste cooking oil and contribute to achieving carbon neutrality.
