Star Micronics to launch automatic lathe for small parts

Star Micronics, an automatic lathe builder, launched new Swiss-type automatic lathes, “SL-7” and “SL-1”0, in October 2021.

The SL-7 is capable of machining small-diameter workpieces up to 7 mm in diameter, and the SL-10 responds small-diameter workpieces machining up to 10 mm in diameter. Both models have enhanced multitasking capabilities compared to previous models. These new models capable of multitasking not only on the front side but also on the back side, enabling them to machine workpieces with more complex shapes.

The annual sales target for both models is 240 units. The standard machine price is 9.02 million yen, including tax.
