KYOCERA has developed a new flat drill “KDZ” to add to its lineup of solid tools “K-series”.
The KDZ supports a wide variety of machining applications, such as spot facing. The new coating “MEGACOAT NANOR EX” achieves long life, high accuracy, and stable machining in a wide variety of work materials. MEGACOAT NANOR EX, developed specifically for solid tools, has high toughness, prevents cracking of the coating, and improves wear resistance, welding resistance, and chipping resistance of the cutting edges. The special groove structure also provides both good chip evacuation and high rigidity.
