On December 8th, 2017, Amada Holdings announced that it would establish an affiliated corporation in Indonesia.
In April, 2018, the affiliated corporation will start full operation. It is responsible for sales and services of sheet metal processing machines and machine tools. The company aims to sell 1 billion yen by 2020. Indonesia accounts for up to about 40% of the gross domestic production (GDP) in the ASEAN area.
In Indonesia, the expansion of the automotive industry and the development of urban infrastructures are expected to lead to increased demand for machinery and equipment.
The company decided to establish an affiliated corporation in Indonesia to meet these demands.
