Amada Holdings announced on December 8, 2017 that it will establish a new affiliated company in Indonesia.
The new subsidiary will begin full operations in April 2018. It will handle sales and after-sales services for sheet metal processing machines and machine tools. Amada aims to achieve sales of 1 billion yen in Indonesia by 2020.
Indonesia accounts for approximately 40% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in the ASEAN region. With the expansion of the automotive industry and urban infrastructure development, demand for industrial machinery and equipment is expected to rise. Amada has decided to establish the new subsidiary to respond to these growing market needs.
