Okamoto Machine Tool Works, a grinding machine builder, has added three models to the lineup of CNC ultra-precision double column type surface grinding machines “UPG-CHLi series”. The company has added three models that enables machining of workpiece up to 4000 x 1000 mm, 3000 x 1000 mm, and 2000 x 1000 mm.
The series adopt a table linear motor drive and a variable static pressure slide to enable high surface quality grinding. Okamoto has adopted a newly developed static pressure spindle with high rotational accuracy for the grindstone shaft. The machine is suitable for machining of motor core molds and semiconductor manufacturing equipment parts.
