On October 4, 2021, Mitutoyo, a leading maker of measuring instruments, announced that it has concluded a business alliance agreement with Hinode Holdings, a casting manufacturer, in the field of casting production.
Until now, Mitutoyo has been producing castings at its Gohara Plant in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Through this alliance, the company will outsource production to Hinode Holdings from now on. The two companies will also jointly research and develop casting technology.
