Star Micronics to open new Solution Center in China

Star Micronics, an automatic lathe builder, decided the relocation and expansion of its sales subsidiary in Shanghai, China, and establishment of a new “Asia Solution Center”. The center will be a three-story building with a total floor space of approximately 1,400 square meters. The total project cost is 300 million yen. Operations will begin in September 2022.

On the first floor of the center, there will be a showroom where the company’s main automatic lathe products for the Asian market will be displayed. The company will use the center to conduct test machining and machine operation seminars for users, and to strengthen its service system. The company will also use the opening of the center as an opportunity to strengthen its sales of automatic lathes to the Asian market, including China.
