On April 12, 2022, Brother Industries launched the redesigned “SPEEDIO R Series”, a compact machining center with pallet changer, which is suitable for machining parts for electric vehicles (EV) and for variable-type and volume production.
The R series is equipped with the latest CNC device “CNC-D00” with a 15-inch LCD monitor with touch panel for easy operator access. To reduce non-machining time, the company has also reduced pallet changing time by 0.2 to 0.3 seconds compared to previous machines.
The conventional machine could only carry a maximum of 22 tools, but in response to growing needs for process consolidation and variable-type and volume production, the company has added a specification that can carry a maximum of 28 tools in the latest improvement.
