Brother Industries announced the “SPEEDIO M300Xd2-64T,” a new multitasking machine, on August 19.
The machine can accommodate up to 64 tools — more than twice the capacity of the previous model — significantly reducing tool change time. Despite the substantial increase in tool capacity, the machine stores 21 tools in the magazine at the front of the machine and 43 tools in a side-mounted tool stocker, enabling large-capacity tool storage within a compact footprint.
Brother Industries offers the “SPEEDIO M series” of multitasking machines to meet the needs of high-mix, low-volume production. The SPEEDIO M300Xd2-64T was developed in response to growing demand for greater tool storage capacity.
The product is currently under development and will be exhibited as a reference model at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), the largest machine tool exhibition in the United States, in Chicago in September, as well as at the 33rd Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF) in Tokyo in October.
