ROBOTCOM & FA.COM builds a digital factory in Minamisoma City, Fukushima

ROBOTCOM & FA.COM (R & F), the managing company of Team Cross FA, established a digital factory in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture on June 28, 2021.

R & F handles the machining of special ordered robot parts and the works on training for robot system integrator. The new digital factory consists of a main building, a machining factory, and an assembly factory. The total floor area of the machining factory and assembly factory is 2700 square meters. The investment amount is not disclosed.

R & F has introduced state-of-the-art robot systems and IoT systems to its machining factory in order to realize variable production of special ordered parts. The machining factory operates 24 hours a day in the complete unmanned way. In addition, R & F will produce packaged products of robot systems at the assembly factory.

Team Cross FA is a consortium that undertakes the construction of digital factories by multiple companies.
