Makino introduces rapid calibrator for smart tool system to simplify workpiece measurement

SMART TOOL Rapid Calibrator

Makino Milling Machine has introduced a new calibration device, the “Rapid Calibrator,” as part of its SMART TOOL series. This device is designed for automatic workpiece measuring systems installed in machine tools.

The Rapid Calibrator is mounted directly on the machine table. Calibration is performed by placing a reference tool in the center of the gauge pin and running a dedicated macro program. This process eliminates operator-dependent errors and allows any operator to carry out calibration that is easy, accurate, and safe.

With this system, the burden on operators is significantly reduced, improving both productivity and process reliability.
