Kawasaki Heavy Industries builds new plant in India with increasing demand for hydraulic excavators

Kawasaki Heavy Industries held the ceremony for celebrating construction of a new plant for hydraulic pumps and motors for construction machinery in Bangalore, India.

The amount of investment is about 800 million yen, and the building area is 3,000 square meters.

The new plant has an annual production capacity of 20,000 units.

Production capacity in India at total doubles to 40,000 units per year by adding the production of conventional plant.

In India, demand for hydraulic excavators has increased as infrastructure investment such as highway and port development has been active.

Therefore, Kawasaki Heavy Industries decided to construct the new plant for hydraulic equipment for construction machinery.

The new plant is scheduled to start operation in April 2019.
