[MECT2021 #4] Highlights of Exhibitors

MECHATRONICS TECHNOLOGY JAPAN (MECT) 2021 will be held from today. Peripheral equipment will be exhibited in Hall 1, cutting tools and measuring instruments in Hall 2, and machine tools in Hall 3 of the venue, Port Messe Nagoya.

The editorial staff of SEISANZAI Japan will introduce the main exhibits of MECT2021.

Automation systems are must-see exhibits

In Hall 3 of Port Messe Nagoya, the venue for MECT, machine tool builders will gather together. At this year’s exhibition, automation systems are expected to attract a great deal of attention.

DMG MORI will exhibit its “WH-AGV5” robot system, launched in October in 2021, which combines a collaborative robot and an AGV to automate the attachment and detachment of workpieces.

Yamazaki Mazak will exhibit its “Ez LOADER 10” collaborative robot system. In its booth, the company will exhibit an automation system that combines the “Ez LOADER 10” with a CNC lathe “QTE-200M SG”.

Okuma will exhibit its “MULTUS B250II ARMROID” multi-tasking machine with a built-in robot.

Cutting tool manufacturers and measuring instrument manufacturers will concentrate in Hall 2 of Port Messe Nagoya.

OSG, a major cutting tool manufacturer, will showcase its new “A-brand” carbide end mills, the “AE-TS-N and AE-TL-N”. These new products feature DLC coating, which is ideal for non-ferrous metals.

Mitutoyo, a major manufacturer of measuring instruments, will showcase its “QUICK VISION Pro Series” of CNC vision measuring machines.

A variety of companies, including peripheral equipment manufacturers, will come and get together in Hall 1 of Port Messe Nagoya.

THK, a leading manufacturer of machine components, will introduce its “OMNIedge” IoT service that enables predictive management of linear guides and ball screws.

Tsudakoma a circular table maker, will introduce its NC tilting circular table “RTT-134,AA”. Direct drive motors are adopted for both axes, and the maximum rotation speed is 3000 revolutions per minute.

MECT2021 kicked off today, and it must be the hot four days.
