NSK’s U.S. affiliated corporation begins reconditioning service for bearings

Bearing manufacturer NSK’s U.S. affiliated corporation, NSK Corporation, has acquired the bearing reconditioning business from Alliance Bearing Repair and reclaim. The company provides a service to check the degree of damage to bearings used by customers for reworking and reusing.

Alliance Bearing Repair and reclaim was established in Ohio in 2005 and has been reconditioning bearings for steel, paper, power generation and other industries. NSK has been working on a life cycle management strategy to strengthen its service delivery system throughout the product life cycle.

With the acquisition of the reconditioning business, the company’s bearing users will be able to reduce carbon dioxide emissions as well as equipment maintenance costs.
