Sugino Machine completes new design office at Kakegawa Plant to expand production capacity

Sugino Machine completed the construction of a new design office at its Kakegawa Plant in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture, on April 21. The two-story building houses development functions on the first floor and design functions on the second floor, with a total floor area of approximately 300 square meters.

The existing design and development floor has been moved to the new office, freeing up space within the plant to expand production capacity. The additional space allows the installation of industrial robots to automate manufacturing processes, strengthening the facility’s ability to respond quickly to orders. The Kakegawa Plant designs and manufactures tube expansion tools, burnishing tools for mirror finishing metal surfaces, and deburring tools.
