Numerous factory automation-related exhibitions will be held both in Japan and overseas. The editorial team of SEISANZAI Japan has compiled a schedule of major FA-related exhibitions for 2026 (as of January 15). Key events include Robot Technology Japan (RTJ) 2026 in June, the IMTS 2026 in the U.S. in September, and the JIMTOF 2026 in October.
While the FA industry continues to face uncertainty amid global inflation, prolonged geopolitical risks, and developments surrounding U.S. tariff policies, exhibitions—where visitors can directly experience new machines and technologies—are expected to serve as a catalyst for supporting demand.

ROBOT TECHNOLOGY JAPAN (RTJ) 2026
A specialized exhibition focusing on industrial robots and automation systems used at manufacturing sites and logistics facilities. Held in Aichi Prefecture—Japan’s major manufacturing hub—in even-numbered years, the show also attracts a large number of machine tool users. At the previous edition, held for the second time, 244 companies and organizations exhibited across 1,320 booths, welcoming 46,405 visitors.

33rd Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF 2026)
Japan’s largest machine tool exhibition and one of the world’s four major machine tool shows. JIMTOF is held every two years in even-numbered years.
At the previous edition, 1,268 companies and organizations exhibited across 5,744 booths, attracting 129,018 visitors (non-duplicated count). While the previous show ran for six days from Tuesday to Sunday, JIMTOF 2026 will be held from Monday to Saturday.

IMTS 2026 – International Manufacturing Technology Show
The largest machine tool exhibition in the United States, commonly known as the “Chicago Show.” IMTS is one of the world’s four major machine tool exhibitions and is held every two years in even-numbered years.
